Biography

Constantin Symsiris (Konstantinos Symsiris) is an actor originally from Greece.  He is known for portraying Lazaros Vangelatos in ''The Durrells in Corfu'' ITV series alongside Keeley Hawes and Josh O' Connor.

He  trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. He has worked with international theatre companies such as the Grotowski Institute of Poland (Harmony of Contradictions) , Troubleyn Jan Fabre in London (Je suis Sang)  and Blitz Theatre Group (Don Quixote) . In 2017, he directed the Greek tragedy 'Prometheus Bound' for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in the Ancient Theatre of Messina, Greece.

Stage credits include; Prometheus in 'Prometheus Bound', Mrs Happiness in 'Clay to Flesh', Vindice in 'The Revenger's Tragedy', Swiss Cheese in 'Mother Courage and Her Children', Nils Krogstad in 'A Doll's House' and Hermia in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Constantin also played Franz Kafka in 'Sincerely Yours' and performed in 'Toneelhuis/FC Bergman: 300 Le x 50 Le x 30 Le' at the Barbican.

Screen credits include : 'Interruption' by Yorgos Zois , 'Wheels of fortune' by Theodosia Grammatikou, 'Grey Route' by Andy Papadimitriou, 'Trouble will find us' by Alexander Milo Bischof, 'Mediterraneo' , by Marcel Barrena.
